As the coronavirus spreads across Europe, governments and businesses are taking steps to prevent a new epidemic. With this message, we would like to inform you of the measures taken and their impact on WatchPCI and our partners.
Belgium in containment from this Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at noon
Belgium enters confinement from this Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until April 5. This is the decision made by the National Security Council (CNS). This CNS brings together, in addition to the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Ministers, the competent ministers, the representatives of the federated entities and the heads of the security services. Belgians are asked to stay at home to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, decided the National Security Council. It is requested to limit travel to the essentials (health, food, bank, pharmacy, post office, gas, help for people in need). This April 5, the situation will be assessed.
Impact on WatchPCI
Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees and their families. In addition, we have a responsibility to support and protect our communities, the vulnerable and the health care providers who are on the front lines of this pandemic. This is why, already from March 16, we will close our offices and make our employees work at home.
We have made available to our employees a whole series of resources and guides to enable them to continue working remotely in the best conditions. However, it may happen that the average response time on return processes, chat or telephone calls is a little longer than usual.
We also suspended all national and international travel as well as meetings, events and in-person customer visits. Where possible, we have replaced them with calls and / or videoconferences to ensure business continuity.
Impact on parcel delivery
For the time being, the delivery of packages is not affected, although some package destinations may experience delays. Please consult the website of the carrier of your choice for updates and the most recent list of restricted regions. Keep an eye on the Covid-19 article which we will be updating continuously in the coming weeks. We want to keep you informed!
